Abstract

 Tecnology development improved some intstrument that more accurated. Elektronica have important part in human life, such as at home, industry, communication, transportation, exsperiment on laboratorium, etc. One of tecnology development tool is thermometer.  Generally, thermometer was designed for they who have normal physical condition, especially in seeing ability. Blind person have difficulty for using that thermometer. Refers to this condition, this paper explains about design of thermometer which can be used by blind person.

Generally, this thermometer, which is equipped by sound output, uses LM35 sensor, ADC0804, AT89C51 microcontroller and ISD 25120. Measurement range of this thermometer is 25 ⁰C – 50 ⁰C. The result showed that this thermometerhas time respon faster than mercury thermometer. The sound output is very clear. Therefore this tool is good enough to be used as a clinical thermometer.
